Amiga SideVarious pieces of software were used at various stages. In the main, the articles were written using Protext 5 and Protext 6 and the illustrations were drawn using Deluxe Paint II and Deluxe Paint III. ImageFX 1.52 was used to convert the illustrations to GIF format and these were transferred (along with the articles converted to ASCII by Protext) over to a PC using Network PC 3.8. |

PC Side(Yes, I had to use one of those monolithic beasts. Not only that, but I had to use Windows 95 as well! Of course, Windows 95 is nowhere near as powerful or easy to use as Workbench 5.0! By the way, Bill. Windows doesn't multitask and isn't an operating system.) Various pieces of software were used at various stages. Initially, I used Network PC 3.8 to receive the converted files from the Amiga. Then, I used Front Page 3.0 to design the web site by hand - none of those over-the-top "Oh, look, I've designed my very own web page all by myself!" wizards for me! And, erm, basically, that's all I used the PC for, so I haven't really sold out, okay? |
